Captive Thumb Screws - Low Head with Slot

This range of Captive Thumb Screws features a low head with a slotted drive. Slotted drives accept standard blade screwdrivers and require less downward pressure to drive parts, than those with recessed openings. An appropriately fitted blade should be used to minimise slippage.

These screws are an ideal fitting solution for panels with non-threaded holes. They are used to comply with the Machinery Detective 2006/42/EC. They are commonly used with Threaded Captive Washers (sold separately).

The screws are made from austenitic Stainless Steel that provides good resistance to corrosion and machinability, and you can findsome of them with a blackened finish and others without. The material is a popular choice for construction and automotive applications.

Please Note: These screws have a smaller shank diameter and should not be tightened to the recommended torque for an equivalent screw of the displayed thread size.
